HOW QUICKLY CAN I GET MY ORDER?

NIXA Candles accepts orders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We ship Monday-Friday, excluding United States Federal Holidays.

In Stock items will be shipped once your payment is approved, and the receiving address is verified. For most orders, this process begins once your online order has been submitted. Orders are typically processed 1-3 business days from the time the order is placed.

Store your candle in a cool, dry place. 

DO YOU USE ESEENTIAL OILS IN YOUR CANDLES?

Some of our fragrances oils are blended with a safe, candle-grade amount of essential oil.

ARE YOUR FRAGRANCE OILS SAFE?

All of our fragrance oils are phthalate-free and adhere to RIFM and IFRA standards for safety and purity.

There are five main “hazard groups” that our fragrance oils simply don't allow.

✖  Carcinogens: These are materials known or thought to cause cancer. 

✖  Mutagens: Materials that change the DNA of a cell, harming the cell and causing diseases like cancer. 

✖  Reproductive toxins: Toxins that adversely affect reproductive organs and increase the risk of birth defects. 

✖  Organ toxins: These are toxins that can cause adverse effects or disease within specific bodily organs. 

✖  Acute toxins: Toxins that can cause adverse effects from a single exposure. Generally, this would be accidental exposure like spillage or ingestion. 

It is important to keep wick trimmed to 1/4 or less and free of black char to keep them burning properly. Simply cut off the char and discard it before each burn.

I CAN'T GET MY CANDLE TO LIGHT, WHAT GIVES? 

It is important to keep wick trimmed to 1/4 or less and free of black char to keep them burning properly. Simply cut off the char and discard it before each burn.

We do not add UV inhibitors to our candles or any other unnecessary chemicals. As such, if left exposed to direct or indirect light, your candle may darken. We suggest storing your candle in a cool dark place to keep it white. If your candle does darken, don't be alarmed - it does not affect the burn or quality at all.

WHY IS MY WHITE CANDLE TURNING YELLOW?

We do not add UV inhibitors to our candles or any other unnecessary chemicals. As such, if left exposed to direct or indirect light, your candle may darken. We suggest storing your candle in a cool dark place to keep it white. If your candle does darken, don't be alarmed - it does not affect the burn or quality at all. 

WHAT IS A SNUFFER?

Have you ever blown out a candle only to have wax splash all over the place? Or, have you blown out your candle and it filled the room with smoke? Well do we have something for you – a candle snuffer! Candle snuffers have been used for centuries to quickly and cleanly extinguish candle flames. Buy 2+ candles and you will receive a free candle snuffer.

To use the snuffer, you simply place the bell over the flame and wait until the flame goes out. Be careful not to submerge the bell into the wax. It needs to hover slightly over the surface of the wax and eventually you may see a small wisp of smoke emerge from the bell, signifying that the flame is out. Be careful not to touch the bell afterwards, as it may be hot. 

CAN I USE MORE THAN ONE DISCOUNT CODE AT A TIME?

No, we are only able to honor one discount code per order. Discount codes are only valid for retail customers and will not be honored on special/custom orders.

CAN I APPLY A DISCOUNT CODE TO A PREVIOUS ORDER?

Discount codes must be entered at checkout to be applied. We will not honor discount codes once an order has been submitted.

DO NUT FRAGRANCE CANDLES CONTAIN ACTUAL NUTS?

There are no actual nuts or oils derived from nuts in our fragrances, but depending on the severity of the nut allergy, we still can’t guarantee the fragrances would not aggravate an allergy. While the fragrances themselves don’t contain actual nut ingredients, we can’t guarantee they weren’t made in a facility that may use nut oils in other products, unfortunately. 

DO YOU OFFER LOCAL PICK UP?

Unfortunately, we do not have a storefront or warehouse space that allows for us to offer local pick up. We always offer FREE shipping on retail orders of $70+ with code FREESHIP70.

REFUNDS RETURNS & EXCHANGES

NIXA Candles refunds/returns/exchanges are processed online. You may begin that process by inputting your order number and email address, phone number or zip code. (email contact@NIXACandles.com to request your order number if necessary)

  • If you are missing a product(s) do not use the online return/exchange process.  Instead, please contact us at contact@NIXACandles.com.  We will process your issue by checking the original shipment weight(s) and if, in fact, you are missing a product or products, we will promptly ship it/them.

 

  • Products used less than 50%, if deemed faulty, may also be returned or exchanged, within 30 days, after a manual review and approval by NIXA Candles.  These require image uploading during the online process and, if approved, qualify for a free prepaid return label.

  • Products that are over 50% used cannot be returned or exchanged through our online portal.  Please contact contact@NIXACandles.com.  If your product is deemed faulty after 50% of use, you will receive a replacement product similar to the volume left in your current product.

  • Candles used on warmers cannot be returned or exchanged.  NIXA Candles manufactures candles for burning. Because warmers burn fragrance out of the candle all at a much higher rate than burning, we cannot guarantee the product once it has been used on a warmer.

 

RETURNS/EXCHANGES THAT WILL RECEIVE A FREE, AUTOMATED, PRE-PAID SHIPPING LABEL:

  1. You received the wrong product

  • You will receive an automated, prepaid return shipping label.  Once your product is delivered to NIXA Candles, your correct product will be issued.  If you are in a circumstance to show that the product has been shipped out, we will immediately ship your new product without waiting for the exchanged product to arrive. 

  • Although it is not common, if you choose, you may opt to return it for a refund instead of exchanging it for the product you originally ordered.

·  Your product was damaged during delivery (images will be requested)  

  • For suspected glass breakage, do not open or handle glass. (images will be requested - if broken glass boxes are unopened, you may upload images of the box instead of the product)

  • During hot summer months it is important to consider shipping your product(s) to a location where the package can be accepted and brought inside within a reasonable amount of time so they do not melt due to a lack of attention given to your delivery, at the delivery location. 

·  Faulty product  (images will be requested)

  • If  a "faulty product" is not approved for a free return due to user error, over 50% product use or non-faulty product, you will still have an opportunity to return or exchange your unused product by self-paid return label (see below).

RETURNS/EXCHANGES THAT REQUIRE A SELF-PAID RETURN LABEL:

  1. Unused product returns for all other reasons

  • If your product has not been used, is in original condition, is in season and was purchased within the last 30 days you may return or exchange it/them for any reason. If you are not returning or exchanging for any of the reasons above, you will be directed to provide your own return shipping label, during the online return/exchange process and send to the address below.

·  Return that was not accepted for a free return label

  • If a prepaid return label was not possible for us to issue because your faulty product was not actually faulty or due to user error, you may still return your UNUSED product, in original condition, in season, within 30 days, by acquiring your own shipping label and returning your items to the address below. 

IMAGES REQUIRED DURING SOME RETURNS/EXCHANGES:

  1. A picture of the product label.

  2. A picture of the product warning label.

  3. A picture of the top of the product, shot from above (if returning or exchanging a candle, this will be a picture clearly showing the wick)

 

PACKING INSTRUCTION FOR ALL RETURNS & EXCHANGES

  1. Packing your order for shipping 

  • All items should be packed for return in the original packaging, if possible.  If that isn't possible, it is very important that you package your item(s) in a sturdy box with at least two inches of tightly packed, thick cushioning around the product, so no breakage occurs during the return shipping process.

  • Examples of proper packing material for glass products: 2-3 layers of bubble wrap, thick or stiff, crushed paper packed tightly around the product, product packed tightly with foam packing- "peanuts" or biodegradable packing-"peanuts".  We recommend acquiring these materials at any office supply store, a big-brand shipping store, Walmart or similar store.

  • Examples of improper packing material for glass products: used, warped, thin or compromised boxes, thin layers of newspaper, crumbled newspaper or newspaper wrapped in thin layers, tissue paper, thin or popped bubble wrap, old rags or an improper amount of proper packing materials (less than 2" thick around the product).

·  Include your printed order inside your return box. 

  • You will have an opportunity to print your return/exchange process email to include in your returning package 

NIXA Candles issues the Refund or Exchange

  • If you have requested a refund, once your item has reached NIXA Candles in its original condition, a refund will be issued to the payment method used to make the original purchase. 

  • If you have requested an exchange, your exchange will be processed as soon as possible and you will receive your new product, shipped by NIXA Candles, via USPS.
